Apps that cater to a myriad of functions, like Duolingo's language learning platform, DaVinci Resolve's video editing tools, and Mubi's film streaming service, are among those honored.

The iPhone App of the Year category highlights exemplary apps, with AllTrails leading the pack for outdoor enthusiasts, Duolingo catering to language learners, and Flighty providing real-time updates for frequent fliers. The gaming sphere sees titles like Afterplace, Honkai: Star Rail, and Vampire Survivors as top contenders for iPhone Game of the Year.

On the iPad side, creativity is king, with apps such as Concepts for sketch artists, DaVinci Resolve for video editors, and makeup simulation app Prêt-à-Makeup. iPad Game of the Year finalists include the social game Eggy Party, the imaginative Lost in Play, and the urban development challenge Pocket City 2.

For Mac users, contenders for top honors include the Linearity Curve design app, the robust Photomator photo editing tool, and the productivity-boosting Portal experience. Mac gaming nominations go to the expansive ELEX II, soul-challenging Lies of P, and the nostalgic Return to Monkey Island.

Apps transforming the Apple Watch experience include the organizing assistant Planny, the fitness trainer SmartGym, and the meteorological informer Tide Guide. In the realm of Apple TV, applications like the whimsical Bugsnax game, the personal trainer FitOn, and the eclectic streaming service Mubi have been pinpointed as front-runners.

The Apple Arcade service has flexed its gaming muscle with finalists such as the architectural Cityscapes, the charming Hello Kitty Island Adventure, and the crafty Stitch. Rounding out the selection, the Cultural Impact category aims to spotlight applications that craft novel ways to forge connections and include balance, an app offering menopause support, Copilot for managing finances, and the ecological awareness app Endling, among others.
