Death Stranding 2: On the Beach stood out at the Tokyo Game Show, showcasing gameplay that introduced a new photography mode along with enticing cinematics, though it wasn’t a complete trailer. Kojima took the opportunity to confirm that the the game is still set to launch in 2025 release. He emphasized that the release date has been concluded and is now undergoing the steps of being prepared.

Speaking about the timeline, Kojima noted that since the game is aimed for a 2025 launch, a statement is anticipated to be released at some point in the upcoming year. However, due to some unexpected developments, specific details cannot be disclosed at this time.
